This scholarship was established in 2022 by John and Carol Cerni. John and Carol seek to provide funds for education and assist a qualified baseball player to attend YSU and follow a dream of playing baseball. John and Carol are lifelong residents of the Mahoning Valley, we have been blessed with two sons who grew up playing baseball and continued playing baseball through college and beyond.
This is their contribution to provide for other young men who have a talent and desire to play baseball and get an education at YSU.
